What’s the difference between the Venom Opera and Venom Stacked systems?
They are similar in performance but the Venom Opera system offers more clarity and is better suited for live music events, the Venom Stacked system offers more low-end rumble which is better suited for electronic music events.
How do I connect my decks/mixer to the system?
We will take an audio feed from the output of your mixer and route it into the system mixer. We’ll provide all the cables and adapters and help get you connected.
How many power sockets are required?
The Venom Stacked package ideally requires a single phase 32A socket within 10m of the setup location, but 2 x 16A or 2 x separate 13A power sockets will also be ok.
How long does it take to setup?
It takes about 40 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to pack down.
How far apart can the speakers be?
Generally, the speakers can be around 15m apart without incurring additional setup costs. If you require the speakers to be placed further then please get in touch so we can advise if there will be additional costs.
Is it possible to blow up the speakers?
Yes, the system does have some built-in protection but any system will eventually break if it is abused or driven beyond it’s limit. Both the amplifier and speakers have limit indicators fitted and it is your responsibility to ensure the volume levels are kept within these limits. You will be charged for any blown drivers.
If I hire the equipment overnight will it cost more?
No, our standard rate is based on a 24 hour hire period, with a degree of flexibility to work with your event timings.
Can I collect the equipment from you?
At present we can only offer a delivery service.
Can the equipment be setup outdoors?
If the weather is guaranteed to be calm and dry throughout the hire duration then this is acceptable. Otherwise shelter is required.
