Venom Opera

£470.00

Rating: 10kW

Say hello to L-Acoustics, probably the most refined audio manufacturer in the world. At almost every music festival across the globe you will find L-Acoustics powering the big stages, known for impeccable sonic clarity with immense power.

This 8 speaker system mixes L-Acoustics subs with Nexo-breed Yamaha top speakers and twin 18″ Venom subs to create a beautiful sounding system with clarity fit for a classical orchestra, but also has immense low-end making it a popular choice for dance music events often out-performing rival systems such as Funktion-one, Martin Audio and TurboSound.

The three different loudspeakers each work in their own frequency band, the Venom subs look after the whirring basslines below 60Hz, the dV-SUBs take care of the kick from 60 to 120Hz, then it’s over to the Yamaha’s for instruments, synths and vocals over 120Hz. Each component works beautifully in its designed frequency range, hitting the sweet spot.

The flexible positioning of the 4 top speakers along with the height adjustable speaker risers opens up the system to a number of formations including wide coverage and long-throw configurations.

Also includes a control mixer and Shure microphone. Fully delivered, setup and ready to go!

  • 4 x 15″ Top Speakers
  • 2 x Triple 15″ Subwoofers
  • 2 x Twin 18″ Subwoofers
  • 14 Channel Mixer & Microphone
  • Just add decks or your stage configuration.

It is your responsibility to ensure the volume levels stay within the limits of the system. If you are an event organiser we strongly recommend that you hire one of our sound technicians to over see your audio requirements throughout the duration of your event. This will also ensure the system is kept within its limits.

We provide an Allen & Heath Zed60-14FX control mixer, this allows you to control the volume levels remotely from the other sources (e.g. DJ’s mixer).

FAQs

What’s the difference between the Venom Opera and Venom Stacked systems?

They are similar in performance but the Venom Opera system offers more clarity and is better suited for live music events, the Venom Stacked system offers more low-end rumble which is better suited for electronic music events.

How do I connect my decks/mixer to the system?
We will take an audio feed from the output of your mixer and route it into the system mixer. We’ll provide all the cables and adapters and help get you connected.

How many power sockets are required?
The Venom Opera package ideally requires a single phase 32A socket within 10m of the setup location, but 2 x 16A or 2 x separate 13A power sockets will also be ok.

How long does it take to setup?
It takes about 40 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to pack down.

How far apart can the speakers be?
Generally, the speakers can be around 15m apart without incurring additional setup costs. If you require the speakers to be placed further then please get in touch so we can advise if there will be additional costs.

Is it possible to blow up the speakers?
Yes, the system does have some built-in protection but any system will eventually break if it is abused or driven beyond it’s limit. Both the amplifier and speakers have limit indicators fitted and it is your responsibility to ensure the volume levels are kept within these limits. You will be charged for any blown drivers.

If I hire the equipment overnight will it cost more?
No, our standard rate is based on a 24 hour hire period, with a degree of flexibility to work with your event timings.

Can I collect the equipment from you?
At present we can only offer a delivery service.

Can the equipment be setup outdoors?
If the weather is guaranteed to be calm and dry throughout the hire duration then this is acceptable. Otherwise shelter is required.

RADIO MICROPHONE – Budget £20, Premium £30

The microphone supplied with this package has a chord length of 3m, extendable to 10m on request. If you require a wire-free microphone for longer distances or for general ease then we have 2 options: A pair of budget radio microphones for £20 (karaoke quality), or a premium Sennheiser radio microphone for £30. Both options come with a receiver of course!

XPRS DJ Booth

STYLISH DJ BOOTHS – Upgrades From £10

The package comes with a “festival-style” LiteDeck DJ stand, but if an alternative looking DJ booth is required then here are some options (subtract £20 if you don’t require the LiteDeck DJ stand):
Starlit in black or white – £30
XPRS silver truss style with white perspex screen – £30
XPRS silver truss style with glowing perspex screen – £50

Pioneer CDJ2000 Nexus - Available To Hire From Go-DJ

DJ DECKS – From £35

We stock a range of Pioneer and Technics DJ decks and can accommodate any DJ requirements. Vinyl, CD, MP3, USB players and effects units are available.

MONITOR/FILL SPEAKER – £35

Monitor: A dedicated monitor will aid DJs, MCs and musicians with their performance. For DJs these can be placed on stands, or for MCs and musicians these can be placed on the floor as foldback monitors.
For wide stages: A pair of extra speakers may be necessary to fill the area immediately in front of the stage, as the main stacks are unlikely to sufficiently cover this area if there is a wide gap between them.

SOUND TECHNICIAN – £25/hour

A sound technician will keep an eye on the system throughout the event to ensure sound levels aren’t running into the red and keeping the show running smoothly. Any technical emergency is immediately dealt with, plus you’ll have complete peace of mind knowing that your DJs won’t be blowing up the system! Our sound technician will also help get your DJs connected, and adjust the mic volume for any MCs.
